Indeed, astronaut Scott Carpenter was the first to test this new timepiece under real life conditions during his flight aboard the Aurora 7 space capsule in 1962. This watch range features a flyback mechanism which allows successive timing operations with no need to stop, return to zero and then restart the chronograph.
