The most popular of all diamond pendants are diamond solitaire pendants. The name 'solitaire' means single stone, and so diamond solitaire pendants will typically have healthy-sized diamonds as their centrepiece.
Made from all the major jewellery precious metals of hallmarked white gold, yellow gold and platinum, diamond solitaire pendants are typically claw set or rub-over set with round brilliant cut diamonds, princess cut diamonds, emerald cut diamonds or pear cut diamonds, meaning that the diamonds are held in place either by 3 or more prongs, or alternatively, fully encased in metal.
