From: Richard Jones ( 09 Jul 07 11:28am ) I've been looking at your full range of diamond eternity rings and have noticed that the platinum diamond eternity rings are somewhat more expensive than the white gold or yellow gold diamond eternity rings. Why is this? Answer: Platinum is more of a precious metal than gold - that is to say that the gold is more abundant in supply than platinum. Platinum is the most durable and dense metal of the metals used today in diamond jewellery. As a result, platinum commands a price premium over gold, and that is why you can see a price difference between the platinum diamond eternity rings and the white or yellow gold diamond eternity rings on The Diamond Jeweller.
